**A little clarification…we created these signs to be used in conjunction with the blessed chalk, not instead of. There are many ways our customers do this. 1. They’ll use the blessed chalk on the exterior of the home and place the sign inside. 2. They’ll write with the blessed chalk on the interior above the front door and then place the sign over it (it’s often hard to see the chalk so they have the visual reminder of the sign). 3. They’ll trace the letters, numbers, symbols each year with the blessed chalk. There are so many ways to use the sign with the chalking tradition. And, for clarity, we did speak with multiple priests about the use of the sign and all have supported it.
The Epiphany Home Blessing Sign is intended to be a permanent invitation for Christ's blessing on the home and all who enter. It measures approximately 16 x 6.25 inches and is pictured in stain finishes of dark walnut and golden oak AND white and black. The sign comes with holes cut from the wood for convenient hanging. The year numbers hang on a small nail so that they may be updated each year. Included with the purchase of this sign are the rounds for years 2025 - 2034. To use chalk is optional but, for our home, we will have our children trace the letters, symbols, numbers with chalk. We suggest getting the sign blessed, along with the year pieces. Intended for indoor use. Many customers prefer to use the blessed chalk outdoors and the blessed sign indoors.

"Epiphany (also known as Twelfth Night, Theophany, or Three Kings Day) marks the occasion of a time-honored Christian tradition of “chalking the doors.” The formula for the ritual — adapted for 2025 — is simple: take chalk of any color and write the following above the entrance of your home: 20 + C + M + B + 25.
The letters have two meanings. First, they represent the initials of the Magi — Caspar, Malchior, and Balthazar — who came to visit Jesus in His first home. They also abbreviate the Latin phrase, Christus mansionem benedicat: “May Christ bless the house.” The “+” signs represent the cross, and the “20” at the beginning and the “25” at the end mark the year.
